Sofia has a rich and interesting cultural life. Almost all theatres, the biggest galleries, the opera, the cinema are situated close to “Sofia Place” hotel.

On one side is the National Palace of Culture - with a variety of posters, which include concerts, dance performances, literary readings and various exhibitions. On the other side are located the National Theatre “Ivan Vazov”, the National and City Art Galleries and one of the most attractive places for book lovers – “Slaveikov” Book Market. Nearby is the iconic "Ivan Shishman" Street with many pubs and shops for handmade jewellery, souvenirs, leather and ceramics. It will lead you to the monument of Tsar Osvoboditel against the building of the National Assembly.
